Municipal Solid waste is not only a serious health concern but also an environmental hazard. As cities grow, managing the increasing volumes of solid waste using manual systems is ineffective and inefficient.

Convexicon’s Smart Solid Waste Management System uses IoT Sensors technology & a robust Online platform for real time monitoring, managing and reporting of the entire waste collection process. One can track filling of garbage bins, pick-up of bins by waste collection vehicles, efficient route planning for these vehicles and monitoring of vehicle movement to the waste dumping sites.

Every event in the process of Waste Collection is monitored real-time from a centralized command and control center.

SMART Cities need a SMART Solid Waste Management Solution

Main Steps

Step 1: GIS Data Capture

A team of our field engineers capture the bin locations and route data with the help of handheld GPS devices. This data is plotted on the maps.

Step 2: GPS Installation

All the vehicles and machines deputed for the waste collection process are fitted with state-of-the-art GPS devices. These vehicles are then assigned their specific wards and routes.

Step 3: RFID Reader Installation and Bin Tagging

All the waste collection vehicles are fitted with RFID readers, while all the bins are fitted with RFID tags specifying their geo-location in the various wards. This data is then fed into the system.

Step 4: Web Interface

Our proprietary application monitors all the on-field activity in real-time, which the authorities can access and take suitable action on. This application is hosted over secure servers and is completely customizable and scalable.

Key System Features

  • Feature-rich platform to monitor waste collection

A Smarter Way to Manage Waste Collection

Waste collection becomes harder to manage as cities grow. More collection points, larger service areas, and increasing waste volumes make it difficult to maintain efficiency using traditional methods alone.

Convexicon’s Solid Waste Management Software helps municipalities, smart cities, and waste management operators gain better control over collection activities. From tracking collection vehicles and monitoring field operations to managing route compliance and collection performance, the platform helps teams stay informed and take timely action when needed.

Built for modern urban environments, our solid waste management solution in India combines monitoring, tracking, reporting, and operational oversight into a single system. Whether you’re managing city-wide collection services or specific waste management projects, the solution helps improve accountability, reduce service gaps, and support cleaner communities.

By combining RFID based waste management solutions, field monitoring, and operational intelligence, organizations can make waste collection more organized, transparent, and easier to manage at scale.

    Frequently Asked Questions

What is a solid waste monitoring system?

A solid waste monitoring system kinda helps municipalities and waste management teams keep an eye on collection activities, watch waste levels, and smooth out day-to-day operations, you know. A more modern solid waste management solution provides real-time visibility into how waste collection actually happens. So the whole thing makes it easier to deliver cleaner and more efficient services.

How does smart waste monitoring work?

Smart waste monitoring is basically sensors plus GPS tracking, then centralized software to gather operational data and show it in real time. A Smart Solid Waste Management Software lets teams monitor collection vehicles, track waste movement, receive alerts when something seems off, and make decisions faster. Instead of depending on manual reporting, it’s more like automatic reporting, which is less stressful.

How does IoT improve solid waste management?

IoT devices grab real-time data from waste bins, vehicles, and field activities. That makes waste management more connected and way more efficient. When it’s paired with RFID-based waste management solutions and monitoring systems, IoT supports better collection planning, cuts down on delays, and boosts overall performance in practice.

Can waste monitoring reduce collection costs?

Yes, absolutely. Waste monitoring helps organizations fine-tune collection routes, cut out extra trips, and make better use of available resources. A lot of Waste Management Solutions in India use real-time monitoring and analytics to lower fuel costs, increase workforce efficiency, and reduce operational expenses over time, more steadily than before

Why is real-time waste monitoring important for cities?

Because cities keep expanding, managing waste efficiently becomes harder. Real-time monitoring supports better solid waste management in urban areas by giving instant insight into collection activities, service gaps, and how well operations are actually doing. It’s more than “seeing later”, it’s seeing while it matters. It also supports AI-powered waste collection systems in India, helping cities deliver faster, cleaner, and more reliable waste management services.
